Preschool Classes FAQs
The goal of the French Educational system is to develop analytical reasoning through incremental acquisition of rigorous writing skills and broad academic knowledge at each level. Our early immersion language program reinforces these skills.
FFLO uses a scaffolded immersion model for developing French proficiency in a comfortable, stress-free way. This ensures that non-francophone students immediately begin to learn important everyday vocabulary.
Yes, your child must be toilet trained before attended FFLO.
The application period is between November 15th and March 15th for the following year.
You have to fill an application form and send it to the school with a picture, a copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport and a check for $85 (application fee).[apply button]
Yes, nuts are not allowed on the premises. We do allow sunflower seed butter.
The ratio is 1:6 and 2 teachers in the classroom. We have an extra assistant there to help with trips to the park and snack/lunch time.
Yes, we do (additional fee). The pricing is on our Tuition and Fee schedule page. There is also the option to stay for extended hours and participate to the Enrichment program.
Teens/Kids Classes FAQs
Our classes take place at FFLO/Play Greenpoint, 33 Nassau avenue in Brooklyn.
Our classes are split between native and beginners and each contains 3 categories: Benjamins ( 5-6 years old), Minimes ( 7- 10 years old) and Cadets ( 11-14 years old) and Teens (15-17 years old) ( Teens classes take place at the Yard on the 2nd floor).
Yes, we do pick up from PS 110, PS31, PS 34 and PS 132.
Should I provide a snack?
The classes run for 12 weeks and last for one hour each.
Yes, it is. Parents do not need to stay on-site.
Adult Classes FAQs
Our adult classes take place at The Yard, a coworking space which allows us to use their conference rooms on nights and week-ends.
Learn French BK will find your level through a free placement test. If you have never taken French before your first class should be Beginners A1.
Each class runs for a total of 12 weeks and lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes.
