Continue your French language journey with our Adult Intermediate classes. If you can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography and employment, you can start with Intermediate B1.
Prerequisite: Adult Beginner A2 (Low Intermediate)
If you have studied French before you can take our placement test which will help pointing your level of French and find the perfect class for you.
Our classes are small, 3 – 7 students. Classes are held once a week.
About B1 Low Intermediate
You can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment). You can communicate in simple and routine tasks, requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.
In this class, you will be able to understand standard speech about diverse subjects like work, school, leisure. You will learn to communicate more smoothly when travelling and have a conversation with a native speaker.
- Wednesdays: 7:00pm – 8:30pm (November 14th, 2018 – December 23rd, 2018)
- Saturdays: 10:30am – 12:00pm (November 10th, 2018 – December 15th, 2018)
About B2 High Intermediate
You can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken. You can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest. You can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions, and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.
In this class you will be able to extend your vocabulary on different topics. You will understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in your field of specialization. You will interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible, without strain for either party. You will be able to produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue, giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
