About Beginner French Class for Teens (DELF A1)
This class is for complete beginners with no prior knowledge of the language, with the exception of perhaps a few key words.
They are a “false beginner”, i.e. they have some prior, but very basic, knowledge of the language, and find it difficult to produce more than a few key words and phrases. Maybe they haven’t used the language in a while and/or want to start at ‘the beginning’. They have a very basic knowledge of the language. Their vocabulary is very limited and they have no real understanding of the grammar.
In this class they will be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. They will learn to introduce yourself and others, ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, what they do, people they know and things they have. They will learn to ask and give directions order food and drink, make very basic travel and accommodation arrangements.
If your teen has studied French before they can take our placement test which will help determine their level of French and find the perfect class for them.
